Latoya Patterson

Latoya Patterson is the author of a children’s picture book, I Wish Mommy Would Come Home and co-author of a poetry book, Rhymes and Riddims of Jamaica. She received a Diploma in Teaching from Mico University College, Bachelors in Education from the University of the West Indies and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Children’s Media Production from Centennial College. She was born and raised in Portland, Jamaica. Though she currently resides in Canada where she is pursuing her writing career, Latoya shares a deep love for her Jamaican culture and is resolute to continue highlighting Jamaican culture through her creative writing style. Latoya is currently working on publishing the sequel to I Wish Mommy Would Come Home and creating a Middle-Grade chapter book series due in 2021.
